Anyone can be a part of combating sex trafficking but sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin. To help you get started we’ve created this Action bank which contains a wide range of actions you can do in your local community, or even from the comfort of your own home...
1. LAST - Leeds Anti Sex Trafficking Network
Local grassroots anti sex trafficking network which seeks to raise awareness of the issue and empower individuals and groups to take action against trafficking in their communities.
ACTION: Join our Facebook
page and stay up to date with trafficking-related news and events.
ACTION: Organise your own event – you could arrange
a fund or awareness-raising event of your own which we will provide support
for and/or speakers if required.
ACTION: If you are holding your own event and want to
help but don’t want to make it a fully fledged fundraiser, then
you could donate a percentage of your profits to either STOP THE TRAFFIK,
POPPY Project or the Anneli Project at Leeds Women's Aid. You can either
send them money directly through our Donate
page, or you can send LAST a cheque and we will donate the money on your
behalf. For more information on where to send your money and who to make
cheques payable to, please get in touch via the Contact
page.
LAST is currently at capacity for volunteers but to see what support other organisation need, just click the ACTION links below.
